Contemplative Practices
Mindfulness and Compassion Training – Scientific research shows that training of the mind enhances our skill in focused attention, regulates our emotions and increases our capacity for compassion for self and others.
Annual Retreat
Jigme Rinpoche, the Palmo Center’s Founder and Director, leads insightful and transformative retreats. The topics of these retreats always focus upon opening the mind and heart, as well as creating a greater sense of well being for the good of all.

Through the scope of his belief that genuine happiness can be experienced as a deep sense of fulfillment, one which arises from an exceptionally healthy mind, Jigme Rinpoche speaks on various subjects upon request. Inter-faith Dialogues

Through the view of disciplines, such as neuroscience, psychology, economics, medicine, ecology, and contemplative traditions, these discourses highlight their interconnectedness and our experience of them in this world. The Palmo Center offers symposiums in conjunction with other educational institutions to instill intellectual curiosity of the human potential.
Annual Dalai Lama Commemorative Lecture
In celebration of the Dalai Lama’s visit to our community, Jigme Rinpoche, along with other esteemed guests, offer this commemorative lecture. Lecture content has included: cultivating compassion, environmental stewardship, wellness, and honoring diversity. Speakers Dr. Arun Gandhi, Dr. Thupten Jinpa, and others have brought their wisdom and expertise to audiences since 2014.
Tibet Night
This annual event celebrates the Tibetan culture of peace and wisdom through art, music, lore, and discourse. It features guest speakers, live music, traditional Tibetan art displays, slide shows, and silent auctions. Don’t miss out on the fun!
