Riwo Sang cho, "the mountain smoke offering", is an ancient and powerful practice for purifying sickness, removing obstacles, clearing karmic debts, and ultimately accumulating merit and wisdom leading to the dawning of enlightenment.
This particular practice was revealed as a terma (revealed treasure) by the great treasure revealer Lhatsun Namkha Jigme in the 17th century. It was through this practice that he was able to remove all the obstacles to the dharma in Sikkim and opened it as a secret land of the Buddha’s teaching. While there are many Sang (smoke) offering practices, the Riwo Sangchod became the most widely practiced in Tibetan Buddhism.
Rinpoche will give the oral transmission and guide participants through this beautiful practice, revealing the manifold meaning and its visualization. Anyone who wishes to learn to heal themselves and remove obstacles is invited to join.
