A Day Long Retreat with JIGME RINPOCHE

In the teaching of Buddha, we are all naturally endowed with limitless wisdom, boundless compassion and power of our true nature. However it has been obscured by negative karma and defilements. Therefore, Ngondro practices are profound skillful and powerful means for effecting a deep purification and transformation, at every level of our being. It is the foundation and the heart of Tibetan Buddhism. These meditative practices can transform one’s life and stabilize your spiritual discipline gradually leading towards discovering the direct realization of our true nature and the nature of reality itself.

They include
(1) Refuge & Prostration,
(3) Generation of enlightened mind and heart
(4) Vajrasattva purification meditation,
(5) Mandala offering and
Guru Yoga.

In this daylong retreat, Rinpoche will be mainly focusing on training in the heart of enlightenment mind ( Bodhicitta) which is the spirit, source and root of the entire spiritual path.This is the second unique preliminary practice of Ngondro. It is in the words of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, “ Bodhicitta ” the very highest form of altruism and the highest form of courage, the source of all spiritual qualities and the essence of all the teachings of the Buddha.

One will receive comprehensive teachings and transmission and learn to do these practices followed by guided meditation and question and answer period. These workshops will enrich your spiritual health and well being. All are welcome.

Ven. Jigme Rinpoche is a reincarnated Tibetan Buddhist meditation teacher who serves as the spiritual director and co-founder of Palmo Center for Peace & Education and Eugene Sakya Center of Tibetan Buddhism. He has been traveling and teaching in North America and Europe for over 10 years and more recently hosted the historic visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Eugene, OR. With a unique blend of eastern and western perspectives, he teaches with clarity, insight and humor relevant to the western mind.
